A RARE LATE 18th CENTURY CYLINDRICAL HALL LANTERN

Of good scale. Each quarter pane of floored glass framed within a fine moulded ogee frame, the four ports on ball feet terminating in crisply cast pineapple finials (a symbol of welcome) which secure conforming swan-neck arms suspended from a ceiling hook fitted with a glass smoke canopy. It has remain entirely in remarkable original condition even retaining the hanging candlebra. Probably French, circa 1760.
