A VERY RARE SWEDISH GLASS HANGING LIGHT by GLÖSSNER

designed by Komp Bodén and made by Glössner-Co, a Nazi-refugee escaping to Sweden in the late 1930's. This light is typical of Gloessner's style and this one in particular was used to advertise the company's work which included glass table tops and architectural panels to mount on doors and walls.

An internal amber glass reservoir houses a 4-way electrical fitting within an external clear glass bowl engraved with four romantic dancing (or floating) maidens flourishing scarves amidst abstracted plant and architectural-like forms, inscribed with a signature "Glössner-Co. Komp Bodén", all in remarkable perfect original condition.

Diameter: 500 mm
Bowl Depth: 200 mm
Total Drop: 500 mm
