AN ORIGINAL CANE TABLE/OTTOMAN BY FRANCO ALBINI

A stunning piece of Modernist design created by triple Compasso d'Oro design award winner Franco Albini, for Knoll International in the early 1950's. Albini worked for Gio Ponti early on in his career, and was known for using inexpensive materials and making the most of unrecognised Italian artisan skills - in this case, the fisherman's lobster pot!  In excellent condition with very minor signs of age, c.1950
